Needless to say this type of portraits is perfect for...  New born babies where only photographed in the hospital in years gone by. That changed in the nineties, when modern-digital- photography became the norm. Nowadays, we photograph babies as young as a few days. Often, they are placed on flowers or objects, showing their smallness and vulnerablity, other times they are portrayed in absolute reality....  Look at this beautiful baby. He was three months old at the time, not ready to sit up yet but very alert and willing to please. When it comes down to baby portraits, nothing will show the mercurial quality of a baby better than a montage. Of course this goes for child portraits as well....  Here is a collection of a dozen babies. They are all under 3 weeks old, with one exception of course. In the past we never photographed babies this young, but modern,professional photography has made great strides forward.
